hehe ok. the CD i own is the traditional colored one. i'm not sure, but it is quite possible that i had the b/w version on my hands about 15 years ago.

i remember seeing a lot of different Marathon and Marathon 2: Durandal CDs around in the office. stuff we sold, or got from clients (lots of graphic design firms, didn't want the employees to get distracted, so OEM games came back when they bought new macs).

i remember at some point, around the time when the colored iMacs were launched, maybe a bit later, we had a pile of transparent CD holders containing games and educational stuff that came with them. both Marathon and Marathon 2 were in there. CD only, with no packaging at all. manuals in PDF inside.

never thought about taking pictures of that old CD collection, would have made a nice addition to the story page ;)
