: I concur. It makes sense, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

This raises the question of how the s'pht translators on the pfhor scoutship understood the human AI encoded message when no other sentient species has made contact with humanity at this point (except maybe the Jjaro). Are the s'pht translators really that good? It makes sense that Durandal and the aliens begin to understand each other after his first message, but...

Oh wait, the pfhor don't need to understand his message. They just got some signal from a colonized moon filled with sentient, but militaristically small mamalian bipeds just begging to be enslaved and sold ;)
