I do that every time I play Marathon. Repeatedly. Sometimes I even go on a rampage and just kill them all. Good fun. You should try it.
In fact, I'll give you some tips:
1) The Assault Rifle is absolutely wonderful for blasting them to bits. It's especially good if you have a tight corridor containing a whole line of Bobs. You can hold the forward key down continually and then just yank down the trigger.
2) The Flamethrower is also positively delightful for toasting Bobs. The scream is the best part, not to mention the charred skeleton they leave behind.
3) The SPNKr is also good fun to use. Just aim for the ground, and you'll have air-Bob in no time!
