PiD-Marathon "Recreation"

Lately... I've been picking up the pages scattered across my imaginary work-room. I've been getting back to speed (Or as much as I've could, considering that I lost every bit of data I'd gathered in 10 years due to a big book falling on my laptop) and re-organizing my list of projects.
Thing is, I've always wanted to "Create" Maps or /Scenarios/ for Halo: Custom Edition version. You can create your own content and build almost anything with it. People have created entire Campaign scenarios thanks to it. Now...
...What if H:CE Could be used to "Recreate" a version of a Marathon game, or even Pathways Into Darkness? It'd take a lot of effort and time, surely, but what I wanted to know is, how would you feel about it? Using Halo as a way to re-elaborate one of these games?
