I did indeed mean that the grenade explosion does not show up in-game, and neither does the sound for that matter.

And apologies for saying SVN, I probably *should* have said something like 'development build'. I know one of you all here mentioned a recent version of Aleph One being able to load the actual game files from the original Mac-era non-Aleph One Marathon 1, so I figured there must be a more recent version of Aleph One somewhere in development that's not listed as the chief 1.0/1.02(?) download at the Aleph One website.
