I use a mouse and keyboard for every FPS I play (except for Halo 4, in which I have no choice but to play with a controller). Generally, I use this basic motion setup:
Move Forward: O
Move Backward: L
Turn Left: K
Turn Right: ;
Sidestep Left: I
Sidestep Right: P
Then I set my mouse on the left side of my keyboard (for normal use I have it on the right side) and use it to look around (of course), switch weapons (of course), fire my weapon (OF COURSE!) and, in Marathon, perform an 'action' (activate terminals, open doors, flip switches, etc.)
I honestly don't like it when people say 'mouse and keyboard for FPS are dead'. It seems totally wrong. Some of us actually like being able to hit something 7 times out of 10.
