In Response To: Durendal description (AlfredMordeir)

: I recall reading something from these pages saying that Durendal, the actual
: sword of Roland, was a single edged sword, not a double edged one. I know
: in Minotaur it's sprite is single edges, but are there any descriptions in
: the original text that describe this? Or did I just imagine the whole
: thing?

No text in the terminals regarding the blade's description. One of the terminals has a quote from The Song of Roland which describes the gold hilt. The images of the sword in the terminals are all double edged.

All the images online appear to show a double edged blade.

The Saracens at the time of Count Roland would have typically wielded single edge blades. Maybe that's where the confusion is coming from.

Hamish
