I like the idea that there is a flower image that has been covered by the blood stains and then the arm. I do agree that the progression of images has to do with the player becoming a god. And, I also think that the perseverance that magnolia's symbolically represent is a connection to the phrase "Ne Cede Malis" and the general plot of Infinity. But, I still say that the visual language of the image is telling us that the blood is thematically linked to the hand, but it is not literally coming from that hand; the blood would have a sketched outline just like the other images if it was. Right now my rough idea would be this: the magnolia's growth represents the progression of the universe; the blood stains covering up the last magnolia image represent that the final structure of the universe has been overcome, overwritten by bloodshed; and the hand represents the new structure of the universe (the player's) that has found its place within/atop the bloodshed it caused. OR: the blood could represent the destruction of the universe at the last stage, and the hand represents the perseverance and survival of the player through that destruction by becoming a part of it ("fitting into an infinite pattern").
