In Response To: Re: In Somnia... (Godot) : The dead (green) nightmare may be a scenery item. Some levels do have these.
I don't think it's scenery. Only a small handful of levels have dead monsters for scenery, namely Happy Happy, Carnage Carnage and the levels after Warning: Earthquake Zone. I do have a hunch that the PowerPathways Screenshot takes place on a modified version of Happy Happy, Carnage Carnage (the textures, the kind of monsters we encounter, the presence of a dead German), but I don't have any real concrete evidence to support that hunch. Even so, I don't exactly believe that the dead Nightmare is a scenery item - at least I don't have any evidence. If it was, this screenshot would likely be from inside the Carnage Room, which is where all the dead monsters/scenery items are early on in the game. However, if we were in the Carnage Room, wouldn't we be seeing more dead Germans and dead monsters? I just refuse to believe that the dead Nightmare is scenery. : Regarding the PowerPathways Screenshot. The in-game action is taken from PID
Keep in mind that the WOFDT.wraith.crystal.bodies screenshot includes floor and ceiling textures, but is far from the tru7h. So, maybe v2.0 was meant to change a lot more than it eventually did. Maybe the idea of color-changing Nightmares was around from the beginning, but didn't work out for whatever reason. Maybe it was brought back for v2.0, but failed again. Cheers,
