In Response To: Old comp.sys.mac.games post (Godot)

This is highly interesting to me, because of the 100% accuracy thing (which isn't reported on after Ground Floor first Reprise) and because they seem to be going out of the way to look for things to kill--and because of the time they've taken!

I had the Pipes at 6:25 AM on Sunday (T+12m). I can't believe I didn't bring this up here until after the Meanie was Dead, but I still have copious notes. Returning to the blue rune and killing the Ghouls and Zombies on the west wing took me to 6:33 (T+20). The teleporters bypassing ...But They're Hungry and most of Evil Undead Phantasms Must Die! were my friends. (Thank heavens the Large Pearl is by the teleporter-save rune-ladder-to-Ascension trio on EUPMD)

By the time I quit the pistol I was 200/203 with the knife and 604/638 on the Walther; I might try to get the Pipes down to 6:24 and 100% accuracy, but by the time the MP-41 and then the Wraiths come around, 100% accuracy seems too insane to try for...

The link provides an amazing breakdown of Ascension, though, and I clearly should have been trawling this for inspiration...

: I was looking through my archive of old comp.sys.mac.games posts from '93/'94
: and came across this thread . It appears that back in Feb '94 (18 years
: ago) that a guy called Rick Talcott was doing a zero-damage max points
: speed run through Pathway Into Darkness.

: Now what are the odds that 18 years from now another group of like-minded
: individuals will be doing the same thing and discussing it.

: As someone once said... circumstances are cyclical .
