Hey welcome. :) : My question for you diehards is this: If I can't remember the plot of : Marathon 1, 2, and Infinity *despite* the fact that I have I've conquered : them (although that was years ago), is that valid evidence to show I have : a memory problem, OR is it simply that these plots can easily slide past : the majority of players? Well I find it hard to recall the plot of Infinity and every time I try my head hurts. : Tangentially: Is it just me or was Marathon the most convoluted plot *ever* : in a videogame trilogy? : If not, let me know. Because I feel like I need to get my memory checked. Well let me put it to you this way. Can you name another gaming site that is dedicated to the plot in a video game and is still active 17 years on (give or take a few years)? : To Clarify: It's not like I can't remember places I went. I remember being on : the Marathon, running that maze, and trying to defend the ship, but the : memories soon degrade into images of switches and lava. The plot is lost. Probably got to do with the breakdown of the neurons in your brain. ;) : As I said, it was many years ago. I was probably a teen at the time. Did I : simply play the game at the wrong time in my life? Yes, you should have started playing when you were 35. : Also, I'm in the middle of writing my first novel (about 40K words in) and I : sense the plot arc could be a source of inspiration to me, but I simply : don't have the time to play through all 3 games again. Is reading the : story section of the site enough? Only if you print each terminal out on a separate page (maybe 3 pages for the Gheritt White terminal), shuffle them around slightly and throw 3-4 pages away. That way you'll get the true Marathon story experience without playing the games. Hope this helps. ;) Cheers Hamish
