the electric sheep levels all contain a single term with cryptic messages. in the first one, we read
the hard path of thought
[o..s%^^66
(k33)oee.*
your former self destroyed
the dreaming way is eased
down to the crushing center
and spared the dance of forever
doesnt this seem a lot like thoth?
especially when compared to the odd term in kill your television?

could this be that thoth in some way or another is having some influence on the players dreams? if we accept that the electric dream levels and the levels beginning with where monsters are in dreams are indeed dreams.
along with this, the terms start with the durandal/thoth ensign (that is what it is, correct?)
if it is not thoth, i am not sure who or what it could be..
