You should be able to paste it into the Scrapbook (Apple Menu - Mac OS Classic) after copying it from ResEdit. From there, drag the sound icon to the desktop. This will save it as a .sys7 or .soundclipping sound file, which can then be easily converted to another audio format.

This technique used to work for me, but if you have trouble with it, just let me know. I can even convert/extract the sound for you, if you want. :)
