Welcome to the Story forum. :-) Now I am not going to pretend for a moment that I am in anyway competent to answer your questions. There are much better people around here to do that. However I can say that Marathon 1 was written for both 68K and PowerPC. You could play the game on both types of Macs. From what I gather Sheepshaver is more commonly used for emulating Marathon. There is a good guide here
