In Response To: Re: Aleph One 1.0b1 (treellama)

: OK, found the problem. By one measurement, your films are invalid. Marathon 2
: has code that checks to make sure there are no empty chunks, which each of
: your films contains.

: But, by another measurement, they're fine. Marathon 2 saved the films in the
: first place, and Bungie disabled all runtime checks before shipping
: Marathon 2.

: Anyway, disabling those same checks in Aleph One allows it to play your films
: to the end, so I guess that's our answer.

Weird. Empty chunks. This must be quite common since I don't believe I did anything out of the ordinary when making these films. Standard Command-Option Begin, get to the end point, do the Vidmaster dance (to avoid early film cut-off) and then save.

Perhaps my dancing wasn't up to scratch. ;-)

Thanks for fixing. Looking forward to the next release.

Cheers
Hamish
