In Response To: NASA, 2012 and the end of the world *LINK* (Godot)

: Happy New Year to you all.

: It seems that NASA have singled out the movie '2012' as being the most
: scientifically flawed science-fiction film yet. Obviously they take their
: science-fiction seriously. The premise of '2012' is the Mayan prediction
: that civilization will come to an end on December 21, 2012. While not
: questioning the date, NASA are none to happy about the scientific basis
: for the film's global apocalypse. Perhaps invading aliens would have been
: a better plot line. ***done to death I hear you say***

: Now if you thought you would be around for Marathon's coming of age party...
: think again. Bungie delayed the release of Marathon until December 21,
: 1994 for a reason. 'Waiting for the boxes' they said, but the first copies
: shipped without boxes! When Marathon turns 18 what will you be doing... or
: not if the Mayan prediction is accurate. ;)

: Cheers
: Hamish

Hah, considering the Yucatan origins of the series, this is MIGHTY interesting heh
