: In the original version of Marathon 1, the game starts out inside the
: "marathon". However in the M1A1 version, the game starts out in

: It does not make since to be in the PiD pyramid which is on Earth while the

It could be considered "a dream level". Some people think the character you play could be the same in both games. Also, it could be just a homage to Bungie's previous game. I liked that Pathways level in M1A1.
