The only real problems I had were in correcting the issues with non-manifold lines. It looks like the Map Exporter creates panels that contain the map space without worrying about whether the resulting lines are and points are all connected. I did have one point where converting quads to triangles and back did some weird things with the points (deleting a few corners actually). And intersecting always gives me a few problems.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with Blender, though it could of course use some improvement. Once I had tried a few different attempts at the keychain I picked up the interface pretty quickly. The online tutorials are pretty useful as well.
