This generation is dying, and m.b.o is dying.
To prevent m.b.o from dying we need a complete m.b.o overhaul and fresh blood to take care of it.
the best way to do this would need many of the mbo sites to be trashed, merged or adjusted to the evolved standards of the marathon community. For example we don't need the recruits site anymore, we got the story forum and the pfhorums to take care of that (unlike the days when the recruits site was created). The Orbital Arm also seems rather useless now a days, and the list goes on. (although for historical reasons it would probably be the best to not trash those sites but rather not make them visible on the front page so they don't clutter it)
Personally I think there should be a centralized news site (m.b.o) front page that would grab RSS feeds (or some other way to grab news from other sites) from other marathon news pages like source.bungie.org and (hopefully resurrected) scenarionews and handle the rest itself.
the design on m.b.o looks nice but it's completely static when it comes to adding links and other stuff and personally I think that has halted its "evolution" a LOT in the past few years.
maybe M.B.O is dying, but the Marathon community is far from dying, although our generation is mostly "passing away".
