Coop wasn't enabled because we didn't have player sprites with the new weapons (cause we didn't have weapon angles besides side-on and in-hand). Along with the new weapon sprites in Omega, there will be new player sprites and thus coop (and hopefully other multiplayer too).

Also, why are you still playing a Final Candidate release? The 1.0 version (actually 1.0.3) has been out for months.
