: They're not on your side, they're just not set to attack you. The Pfhor and
: the demons (I like that term; I always want to call them all
: "nightmares" since they are the bad dreams of a dreaming god,
: but one of them is actually called "Nightmare" as distinguished
: from "Headless" or "Banshee" or such, so that can't
: work).... anyway, the Pfhor and the demons are fighting each other and
: story-wise they would also fight you but that level is damn hard enough as
: it is without getting shot at, so I just made all the monsters ignore you,
: since they're so busy fighting each other.
: And I'm really glad you liked it so much :-)
I would have enjoyed that level on a faster machine than mine. Although all other levels in the scenario ran smooth as silk, there was bad lag in that level whenever I was facing towards the centre, which meant timing some of the turn-and-jump tricks is more luck than anything else. It meant having to go round and round and round the same paths quite a few times.
And the bastards did attack me, guess I should have left them alone. :D
