In Response To: Re: Story in Marathon Eternal (Forrest of B.org)

: Everybody dies, except the ones who mysteriously disappear. That's usually
: how my stories end.

: (This is a joke. Mostly.)

: Distorted vision is indicative of a level being a dream.

: Yes.

: It's a dream. Though, not a normal dream like you or I would have; a dream
: where the monsters are as real as you conceive them to be; the kind of
: dream that haunts the fleeting sleep of gods and demons.

: I probably couldn't (make it short and easy), but I'd be interested to see
: other people try. See what the popular Cliff Notes understanding of the
: story is. I've probably talked about it enough here that everybody already
: pretty much gets it.

: (On an interesting side note, I just discovered that this is the top result
: on Google for the phrase "forever my greatest and only love",
: beating out even the MSP KYT Term page. I think that's such an awesome
: trailer, I'm gonna make it the splash screen for eternal.bungie.org. That
: bottom image which is now broken was the banner that's now at the top of
: the Eternal site),

Another question i have is with the PiD monsters.

in PiD the Dreaming God/W'rknancter dreams these monsters which causes the monsters to become real and appear in Reality.

Later in Eternal when i was fighting the monsters you do not at all come in contact with the W'rknancter who is dreaming them up.

So the question is that you are going around in the Real world (not some dream) fighting dream created monsters.

OR

The whole game is a dream and your brain has created the monsters and since you are in the dream reality you are encountering them.
