: Hmm this is peculiar...
: You're not supposed to be able to walk past that point yet, because there is
: a force-field in the way. (The objective of the mission is to lower that
: force-field and get to that terminal and what's down that hall from it).
: This force-field is created (engine-wise) by having the polygons of that
: doorway filled with fast-moving water; that is what knocks you back. It
: sounds like the blurrying effect is also happening because of the water
: (this trick is basically taking advantage of the less-than-realistic way
: Marathon / Aleph One handles liquids). However, I don't see any blurring,
: and I haven't heard from anyone else seeing it either.
: What graphics settings are you using, OpenGL or software? Gregory, do you
: know of what circumstances would result in surfaces within a media-filled
: polygon, being viewed from a non-media-filled polygon, would smear like
: that? I know this trick has been used in some very old Marathon scenarios
: before and I don't recall it smearing there, so I wonder if this is a new
: glitch introduced somewhere in the development of Aleph...
I dont know what Graphics im using. Well it doesn't matter. I cant take the blurring. But now i know its just a Force Field that is pushing me back and not a bug. Thanks anyway. I will find a way to break the Force Field.
