In Response To: Re: Not late at all (Forrest of B.org) : Yays! :-D I really mean it. I was sort of let down at first by the level architecture, especially after having played through RX and new revamped version of TI; actually, Thomas Reed's Marathon: Dissent is still practically the Gold Standard in Marathon scenario level design, for me. But then I realized that you were trying to capture the ethos of M1 and M2, at least early on, while at the same time trying to do something new and creative, and in that respect, I think you did a fabulous job. : That line in the terminal was a sort of fourth-wall-breaking
It's funny, because that actually makes sense in the context of the game, sort of. : Yeah, I guess that's a point. I just feel like I've been doing that so
I remember you getting a lot of flack over Eternal early on, yet you stuck to your guns and finished it; I could learn a lot from you on that count. That being said, I don't think that two releases really would be a problem. The fact that you shipped it is reason enough to celebrate. I can think of so many scenarios which looked so promising (Solace being one, along with SC Cartel, Killing Time, Muerte Machine, TC19, Apotheosis) yet just didn't make it. (I'm especially still broken up over Solace. Man, that was such a cool scenario..)
