With respect to the level design of CDB and HoF, what really struck me was how utilitarian the levels were, just like the original M1 levels. However, the reason why I was puzzled with the wide hallways in Heat of Fusion is that if this is a fairly neglected portion of the ship, you wouldn't expect a lot of travel in the hallways, so you wouldn't need to make them very large. I guess one possible explanation would be that the extra width would have been necessary when they were active, to transport heavy machinery and parts. I also thought the design of the AI banks was an interesting presage to the AI bank design we'd later see in M2, MI, and Rubicon. : Well... except the new weapon and player models and multiplayer... but those
