Security Officer being Sergeant Eddings

Ok i have heard a theory that the Security Officer in the Marathon games is actually the reanimated Sergeant Eddings(the main character in Pathways Into Darkness). I have heard there are many clues in Marathon that he is Eddings.

So what do you guys think about this Theory? Does anyone think this is true?
