Then why was Tau Ceti the first extrasolar human colony - and a mere 11.4 light-years away, at that - and why wasn't it colonized by a fleet of small ships with FTL technology instead of a large one without? And while Leela et al make specific reference to the Pfhor corvette having FTL capability, why is there no comparison to or even mention of human FTL tech in the games?
