In Response To: Re: Eternal X Final Candidate 2 (Forrest of B.org) : Later on things get a little wackier,
Yeah, I loved 'Unwired'. Was disappointed that it turned out to be a failing time line. I didn't appreciate what she was trying to do, but I liked Hathor. I don't mind a few flaws in my cybernetic women. There's definitely a feeling of deja vu about the Marathon levels. It feels like I'm back on the same ship. Cool to see the bridge of the Marathon in Roots and Radicals. Reminded me a bit of the opening level in Halo2. Core Done Blew was another great level. I like the different zones: the door node, the power distributor, and the sewers. I also got a good look at the army I'd have to defeat later in the level. Plenty of anticipation there. The black compilers in the central room didn't attack me, by the way. Not sure if that was intentional. Heart of Fusion gives some pretty great vistas. The view around Tycho's core is pretty impressive. Interesting to contrast the size of the Marathon AIs' hardware compared with the ones you encounter in M2 onward. So, I guess the compilers were there trying to shut Tycho down? Or co-opt him? So was Tycho really trying to help us defeat Hathor, or did we just rescue him or help him break out? He doesn't seem to go rampant until the next level, but I'm not entirely sure. You can never take the intentions of these AIs at face value. Enjoyed Hysterical Womb. Some tricky sniping required. Am I beginning to detect a misogynist streak in this scenario? Now I'm in the Pfhor city. Leela! Drinniol! The Enforcers took down their own Juggernaut. The one placed behind him just kept on trying to attack me through his own flying tank. I was just as happy to let him do all the work, but if you want the player to have to kill the Juggernaut, perhaps you should move that enforcer. Some buggy things:
: Her using your name was actually meant to be a little creepy. Think about it;
Stop it, you're creeping me out...
