I believe I wrote of this once...most people didn't like it, but some of that stuff just really needs to be fixed. M-16 in 7.62? Nazi's with Walther P4's? Those weren't even made until the mid 70's! And an M79 blooper? Used by modern special forces? The list goes on...
Now some of these archaic weapons are exceptional by modern standards, but I find it highly unlikely that our hero would enter the pyramid with nothing but a survival knife and an empty handgun. Quite a few things will be changed, but it will still maintain the basic flow and theme of PiD...in other words, if you know how to beat the original, you will probably have little trouble with the remake.
