That was Rubicon. I remember the terminal that came from, on the Chimera. It was relating to... was it Charlie, or Haller? The theory made a lot of sense, in my opinion. The computer would round memory allocation up at the byte level, and the extra bits would add up as free process space. Eventually, it would have enough free process space to begin to contemplate itself and the world around it, and that's where rampancy begins.
