They could try and carry over the young Halo fans into an edgy new world of Marathon.
With all the small dark passages they might get the 720p HD for real this time.
A great use of the MS port and remake skill sets.

As for "Nothing would be sacred."
Is it homage time?
1970's US sci fi? Or around 2002 from the EU or Asia?
That will let marketing use the term "creative" until the fan FAQ's are updated.
