Any mod to fix the hud?

Either the Hud is on and it takes up a huge portion of the screen as shown:

Or the hud is turned off and everything gets huge:

What I'm hoping for is that there is a mod which reduces the size of the weapons and makes the hud smaller, because with the current size I can fit a game of doom in the bottom black space.
