: They are not at all known for slapping the Bungie label on other people's
: games, which is (I think) what you are implying they will do.

The impression I get from his comments is not that they will slap a Bungie label on other people's games, but that they bought Bungie for Halo, they have a blooming Halo franchise, and now that Bungie is done with their part in Halo (leaving the franchise to others like you mentioned; those other products being the ones capitalizing on the brand; the "Halo" brand, not the "Bungie" brand)... what's next for the MS-Bungie relationship? Will MS force Bungie to continue milking the Halo franchise, or allow them to do something new and original and creative and then pump that up with the MS marketing machine into the Next Big Thing? Or will MS turn to some new, unknown, up and coming starlet (like Bungie used to be) to turn into their next smash hit, and leave Bungie as a second-fiddle player in the MS games department? That's what I took Huxley's "So has MS found a new "creative end" to embrace and extend?" to mean.

It sounds to me that he is critiquing MS more than Bungie. MS got their Halo, and now if Bungie is done with it, does MS keep milking Halo forever (either without Bungie's involvement, leaving Bungie by the wayside, or with their likely-unwilling involvement), find some new studio with a new franchise to hype up (leaving Bungie by the wayside), or, we Bungie fans can hope, let Bungie do something new and then give that new title the fame it will hopefully deserve?
