Wow, what's with all the hate in here? The guy is obviously not some kind of drooling MS worshipping Halo fanboi, and felt like talking to people he probably considers more his kin (us old Marathoners) than the majority of Halo forums, about making the difficulty of making this decision.
For the record, I too have preordered Halo 3, mostly because I've already got the other two (Xbox and Halo 1 were given to me for a birthday present, and I bought Halo 2 both because I liked Halo 1 and because I figured it'd be good to have more than one game for my Xbox) and want to see how they end the series. Though I won't be buying a 360 (as this would, again, be the only game I'd buy for it), and thus will only be able to play it on friends' consoles (though thankfully one of those friends lives with me). And it'll be a nice irony that my last Bungie game (unless they should start making Mac titles again... and I get a computer that's less than 7 years old) will be one that I can't even play. But it'll be nice to have every Bungie title from PiD to Halo 3 lined up on a shelf somewhere...
