The official word is that Kirkpatrick is impossible to get in touch with; I think someone managed to find a community group that he helped out with a few years back, but that was at least a year after he had left that town. He also showed up to do a magazine interview with somebody a couple years back (so he's clearly not impossible to find), but I don't think we've seen him since.

As for the domain itself, whois says that it's under the command of Role Moniker Services, a mask for whoever actually owns the domain. It'll expire in May of 2008 if it doesn't get renewed, so you can look again then?
