I guess that depends on your definition of "unlimited". I'm up to 38 saves in Jedi Outcast and haven't had a problem yet.

Also, Battlefront II is at least one game with a "real save dialog" in the sense that you can choose what filename to save your game under, and it's not tied to any particular profile. (All the saves are lumped together in one folder, same as Myth, IIRC.)
