Nah, it's a gravity wave that's being shot, not an actual nuke.

Also, I came up with an even better idea: invisible projectile with Evil Nuke as *contrail*. That way you get an actual wave-like effect of expanding circles along the path of the shot.

Heh, I was trying to figure out what a cation strip was for a second ;-)

Also, I've decided to make that terminal at the top a message from the Watcher saying "they're clearly not friendly, blow the fuckers up. Go smash these wires and get back up here ASAP." Since everybody in Marathon terminals always says 'do this ASAP' and it doesn't usually mean anything, the "OMG THE SHIP IS EXPLODING!" thing will still be an ohshit moment, but at least players will know why the ship is exploding and where to run to.

That's a very good idea, which I forgot to write down on my bug list last night.
