I was playing on Normal and they didn't seem to die... I just played the first two levels on Easy, though, and the fists made short work of them.

I've been meaning to investigate booting into OS 9 on my eMac for a while... I think my computer is capable of it, but first I need to install OS 9. Anyway, thanks for the advice!
