fileball was down for about 2 months recently, it was almost the end of the first month before frigidman gave real word as to what was up. Apparently it's extremely expensive to run and he was testing how much bandwidth it was sucking down. Since then fb has been reinstated and updates are kinda slow. My impression is fb will continue to be a great resource to download files that are already on it for a while to come, but i'm a bit skeptical as to it's future serving new files to the community.
