Since you can no longer see the top from the bottom anymore (as was the original plan), I wouldn't mind the highest of floors being made negative space, so long as it's not obstructing any of the existing views or passageways. If you think you could pull it off with the level still feeling as big as it is, then by all means go ahead. I'll email you the latest version.
