There are very few things you need.

First of all, you will need to point your web browser at http://trilogyrelease.bungie.org/ and download the Unimap scenarios of M1A1, Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity. Unzip each one to somewhere handy.

Then, hie thee to http://sourceforge.net/projects/marathon/ and hit "Downloads" for the Windows version of Aleph One. Drop a copy of the alephone.exe into each of the scenario folders, and you're ready to go; just run the .exe when you feel like playing each game.

There are also various enhancements; replacement textures, and the like. If you're running XP, then your hardware is almost certainly capable of using them to good effect. They're generally findable via http://fileball.net/marathon

Once you've got yourself up to speed, feel free to join the rest of us playing online!
