Alternate Spellings - Jjaro
Posted By: MrHenDate: 12/7/06 9:27 a.m.

I was poking around the story page again, looking for simple articles to right up for the wiki and I stumbled upon something I thought was strange.

There is some speculation on the Jjaro page about whether Jjaro and Yrro were nothing more than alternate spellings.

On the Confound Delivery terminal page, there is a quote from Chris Geisel about S'bhuth vs. S'boath:

"They are alternate spellings. It's an english approximation of an alien pronouncination--like yrro jarro jrro"

This appears to be an implicit assurance that Jjaro, Jarro, Yrro, Jrro are all alternate spellings of the same thing. Is this generally accepted in the Marathon community? I ran a quick search here but did not find any useful discussion. If it is, I will write up a quick bit over at the wiki.

There are a few other interesting things mentioned on that page. But those are other topics, and I am sure I can pull up a quick search on them.
