I'm not sure this terminology works. (Note confusion already caused by it.) In stuff like Schlock Mercenary and Frungi's scenario, there's only one timeline at any given point in the story. After you travel to the past, you can't return to the original timeline you came from, so it's debatable whether it can be said to still exist (other than in your memories).
Of course, if the new timeline replaces the old, then travelling backwards effectively means killing everyone in the entire universe. (Or at least everyone who's been born since the point you're travelling back to. Again, it depends on interpretation.)
Anyway, I'm also not sure what terminology to substitute. Possibly "deterministic" (an event's cause happens before the event or not at all) and "nondeterministic" (things sometimes happen without an original cause, just because they were "fated" to happen).
Back to the Future is sort of an inconsistent mixture, but basically nondeterministic. You can change the timeline, but each version of the timeline also contains some circular and backward causation. Doctor Who also works like this.
