In Response To: Intel Mac (NICK HOAD) : Does anyone here know how I can run Anvil and Forge on an Intel Mac? Or if
: Any help would be appreciated. : Nicholas You can emulate an old world macintosh machine with SheepShaver or Basilisk II - Sheepshaver emulates PPC while Basilisk II emualtes a motorola 68k processor. There are intel builds available of both emulators at www.emuscene.com.
I don't know if Basilisk is fast enough for Forge. Give SheepShaver a Try
http://www.gibix.net/projects/sheepshaver/files/SheepShaver-2.3-0.20060514.1.MacOSX.tar.bz2 this build fully supports sound output - you must enable it by using the sound control panel and selecting the integrated device. Otherwise you will have no sound. the setup process is complicated - you can extract the required ROM file from the MacOS ROM upate 1.0 from the Apple support download page with "TomeViewer" however this is a classic app as well so you're stuck here. Maybe you find help at this location:
or you can email me - I could send you a copy of the ROM file and the SS config file if you like unfortunately I don't know about an alternative to Forge or Anvil so I guess this is your best shot. I have tried Forge with SS on my Intel Mac and it works: you can see a screenshot below:
