First timer Forge trouble

I have recently downloaded "Forge" and I have a problem when trying to open it (which is a pretty bad omen). A box pops up that says:

"Please be sure the "Shapes" file is in the same folder as the "Forge" application and try again."

So I pulled the shapes file from Marathon Infinity and stuck it in the folder "Forge" was in, but the same message still pops up. I'm sure there is a simple explination for this, but I am not the best when it comes to dealing with computers. Can anyone give me some suggestions? thanks.
