OS X Aleph One SDL

Since the NIBs version of Aleph One isn't going to make the transition to intel, will the SDL version see all of the options in the preferences like the NIBs version does or will it stay the same? I can understand why SDL is the way to go, but I really can't stand the interface. Will it ever be changed to look better? Thanks.
