The politics/philosphy of mapping | ||

Hi Everyone, Just a quick note here...I'm at work and can't put everything down that's going through my head...I'll add more later. I'm curious as to what people's general mood is towards mapping in terms of "For whom are the maps made?" I got started thinking about this after reading some of the old posts re: the original release of Rubicon. Someone (Goran?) posed the question "Who did you make the maps for, the people, or yourself?" or something like that. Anyway, what's the consensus, or divide on this issue? I'm working on a scenario and would like to get a feel for what the community considers the best approach. Sorry this is so vague, just wanted to get something down before I get started at work. More later. AS
