Widescreen image display issues in SDL AO

In testing various encarnations of the WMaiD beta under Windows SDL Aleph One -widescreen images (those taking up the entire 'terminal' screen for logon/logoff pictures) showup as 'missing' errors. The map file is .bin encoded correctly - so all other term pics aren't hosed.

Anyone know how to solve this problem? Anyone? Buller? Buller? Buller? ;)

Serious, I have no idea how to solve this quirk of Aleph One.
