Forge and Anvil will not work without running some kind of Mac emulator like Basilisk or ShapeShifter. We don't have the source code to port Forge or Anvil to OS X.

There are a couple native OS X tools, Pfhorge
http://www.xmission.com/~dragons/Pfhorge/

and ShapeFusion
http://shapefusion.sourceforge.net/

which will run in Rosetta.
