Of crashing Outlook Express under Classic OS

If anyone knows why (or how to correct the issue) of Outlook Express freezing (mouse still moves, but remains forzen) whenever it opens an email with embedded images - please let me know.

It's cramping WMaiD's development, and my life in general. All livejournal, eBay and Paypal emails now lock up my poor Powermac 6500/250 running OS 9.2.2. Arg.
